Luis Alvarez-Gaume is the leader of the CERN Theory Division. His research focuses on quantum properties of black holes. He came to CERN 15 years ago after working at both Harvard and Boston University.
Ulrich Fuchs is an experimentalist working on the ALICE experiment at the LHC. He previously worked at the University of Munich and has been at CERN more than 10 years.
