In honor of Valentine's Day, we asked two of our colleaguesin the Seed office— one man and one woman—to give Chemistry.com a test drive. The service is new to New York City in 2006—it was previously only available in Denver, San Diego, Seattle and Washington, D.C.—and our sacrificial lambs have not had the easiest time finding love in a most likely under-populated system.

Still, beginning last week, our loyal friends submitted to rigorous personality tests, sorted through several romantic hopefuls and even expressed some interest in a few people. They did all of this in the name of scientific inquiry; and because we needed someone to find out if the system works.
Check back frequently for updates as we transcribe their journal entries describing their experiences finding a mate in the new uncharted cyber world “where online personals leave off.”
